Scariest thing I’ve done lately 🔥

a weekly(-ish) newsletter on websites, workflows, writing & getting paid

Happy Halloween, Reader,

You know what’s scarier than dancing on Instagram, cold-calling collaborators, or showing bts in your business?

Waking up to realize all the work you’ve put in… isn’t taking you where you want to go.

👻 Maybe you're selling products people aren’t buying.

👻 Posting content no one’s engaging with.

👻 Creating busywork instead of building momentum.

👻 Saying yes to everything — because you’re grateful — even when it’s not what you set out to do, or who you really want to serve.

The last time you heard from me was back in August — I was about to launch my Squarespace template shop. But I couldn’t do it.

Right before I hit the go-button, I realized something that made me burn it all down.

👉🏼 Every Tom, Dick, and Sally has a template shop these days.
And they’re all… the same.
Pretty. But not enough.

The thing is, a website won't help if:

— your branding is off
— your offers are copied + unclear
— you’ve got no automation or process
— and no idea what to write

Every single 1:1 client I’ve worked with has needed help with all of those things. And not one template shop out there includes them.

See, I firmly believe we’re all made on purpose and for a purpose. And I believe mine is to help you fulfill yours.

It wouldn't honor you -or me- if I didn't get this right.

Bc I’m here for the scrappy doers.
The kitchen-table dreamers.
The DIYers with too many Google tabs open, fire in their guts, and purpose in their hearts.

Maybe you know exactly where I’m coming from.
Maybe the thing you started veered off course.
Maybe it’s not what your audience actually needs/wants.

Or maybe you’re just getting started — and trying not to hodge-podge your way through it.

Whichever it is for you, Reader, you're going to love what's coming.

I’m dusting off the first freshly-built pieces — and sharing them exclusively with you, my email fam.

So in the spirit of spooky season (and because it’s more fun this way), I’ve got a bowl of biz goodies on my porch, just for you 🎃👇

WEBSITES IN THE WILD

Quick temp check of your home page - it *should* function as a train station. It's one job is to help visitors find where they need to be. I made this site, so i'm definitely biased, but I love this very clear example of how to do that on The Walk Ministry.

📰 DUBSADO INSIDER TIPS

FROM YOUR PERSONAL CERTIFIED DUBSADO SPECIALIST

Q: When 3.0 is released, will things need to be redone on our end?

A: When 3.0 beta is released on November 17th, it will be a rolling release, so that means once your account gets access to it, you will have the option to join in. Nothing will need to migrated or transferred over. For the time being you will have the ability to go back to 2.0 if you need, but at some point in 2026, we will be retiring 2.0. We will give lots of warning before that time comes though. No changes in pricing for users that already have a subscription with us. However, on December 1st, our pricing will go up for those without a subscription who are just signing up for Dubsado. But no changes on your end as a paying member already! You get 3.0 at the 2.0 rates!

Honestly? I thought I’d be done with this template shop by now. My self-imposed launch date came and went. Twice. Surprisingly, I’m totally okay with it. I’ve got multiple 1:1 clients in different stages of brand-building. It’s...

It used to mean swimming all day, fireworks at the city ballpark, and snacks my mom never let us buy any other time of...

a weekly(-ish) newsletter on websites, workflows, writing & getting paid Hey Reader— Tell me I'm not the only one this has happen. I was in full mom mode: pool bags packed, snacks portioned out, sunscreen slathered on every child within reach. One pool float, two watermelon-sticky kids, and three hours later—I realized I’d forgotten to put sunscreen on myself. Classic. Happens at least once a year. I’m so focused on making sure everyone else is covered that I don’t notice what I missed… until...
