The demogorgon called... it wants your calendar

a weekly(-ish) newsletter on websites, workflows, writing & getting paid

Happy 2026 Reader,

Did last fall feel like it was 3 years long to everyone, or was that just me?

My Google Calendar looked like the Upside Down.

My to-do list had more red alerts than Hawkins Lab.
And every time I tried to plan ahead, it felt like my brain was buffering — spinning with ideas, but stuck in place.

Yeah. It was giving Season 4.

So somewhere between my own routine business-ey stuff, client work, a brain full of distracting ideas (😑), and trying to remember what dress up day it was in 3rd grade… I decided:

I am NOT starting 2026 like that.

Call me El, bc I’m flipping the switch and blasting out of this trap. 🚲⚡

I thought I might not be the only one that need this year to be more simple? If you’re craving a little more clarity this year — and a little less “I swear I wrote that down somewhere” — I've got two tools I swear by:

1️⃣ 🗓️ 2026 Wall Calendar

Back by popular demand (and because I genuinely can’t function without one), this calendar is the best visual planning tool I’ve ever used. Buy the PDF and send to your local printer - (psst.... CVS in 1 hour for $15 with the code January50). Grab a poster frame on Amazon and voila. Dry erase magic/art on your wall.

2️⃣ ✨ The Intentional Life Planner

Bu-Jo inspired. Goal-oriented. Faith-based. Beautifully printable. This is the planner I made for the girl who loves a good reset — but needs a flexible system that still honors her season, her rhythms, and her calling. (she's me)

If you’re running your biz like you’re stuck in a lab with no map or walkie talkie… this is your sign to reclaim your calendar, take back your margin, and do things a little differently in 2026.

We’re not winging it this year. 🧠 We’re planning on purpose.

Big breath in. Let's go.

WEBSITES in the wild

Do we have any multi-passionate slashies here? Even though I JUST got done preaching about simplifying your offer suite, I know that we might not all be ready for that.

And even if we narrow it down to just one niche or main offer, we still might have multiple ways to serve. Blog, portfolio, free resources, shop, multiple service offerings....

^^^That's what a well-crafted home page is for. It's like a train station, where you show who you are and who you're for... and then point your visitors to what they're ultimately looking for.

Check out this well done section on the home page from Protect Sundays 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

📖 READING: Garden City by John Mark Comer

📺 BINGING THIS: Stranger Things, duh.

🍽️ IN THE KITCHEN: I decided to make the most ultimat 80's meal for my kids while we binged the ST finale - Kraft mac & cheese with cut up hot dogs and french bread pizza. (and no, I couldn't make myself participate, but they loved it)

🔨 WORKING ON: Oh boy. This is gearing up to be a CRAZY month with 3 client projects and growing my passion project, AND started List Builders Club. That planner ^^ is saving my booty right now.

a weekly(-ish) newsletter on websites, marketing, funnels & getting paid Gonna keep this one tight today, Reader, Because apparently one of the side effects of having a high school senior is a very full calendar, a growing awareness that these moments are numbered, and nearly every conversation starting with the same question What's the plan after graduation? College? Trade school? Military? Jump straight into a job and figure things out along the way? There are so many options. And not a...

a weekly(-ish) newsletter on websites, marketing, funnels & getting paid Happy Valentine's Day, Reader, *not gonna admit how many conversation hearts I've gone through while making Valentine boxes and silently judging the font kerning on them… Popping in today with something to show you my appreciation— from a web designer turned creative strategist / offer fixer point of view. One of the most common requests I get? “Help me get more clients.” Naturally, most people assume they need more...

a weekly(-ish) newsletter on websites, workflows, writing & getting paid Huddle up Reader, There's evidence that Elsa was here last week.... At some point in between collecting frozen eggs from the chicken coop, and flying down the driveway in a homemade sled (a laundry basket screwed to an old pair of skis), I saw my 8-year-old twins watching a YouTube short about a Super Bowl comeback that happened before they were even born. Which… fair. *I know* I only watch the big game bc I've got a...
